Web chat & booking link

Every business gets a chat page and a website widget from day one. There is nothing to connect, and it can’t be switched off.

Your chat page lives at /c/your-shop on our site. Find the full link in Settings → Your business → Chat link, or in Settings → Channels → Website chat.

Put it wherever clients look for you: your Instagram bio, your Google Business profile, a Linktree, or send it to anyone who asks how to book. It opens a chat with your assistant, in the visitor’s language.

Visitors see a welcome message and three shortcuts: Book an appointment, Hours & location and Prices.

Add the widget to your website

Your Tornaly website already has your Book button. To add the chat to another website, copy the snippet from Settings → Channels → Website chat and paste it just before </body> on that site — or into its “custom code” box. It looks like this:

Website widget
<script src="https://YOUR-APP-ADDRESS/embed/widget.js" data-shop="your-shop" async></script>

This adds a “Book now” button in the bottom corner. Clicking it opens your chat in a panel (full screen on phones). The widget:

  • can’t be broken by your website’s styles;
  • follows the visitor’s dark mode and reduced-motion settings;
  • closes with the Escape key;
  • remembers the conversation if the visitor comes back later on the same browser.

Optional settings

Add these attributes to the same <script> tag if you want to change the look:

AttributeWhat it doesDefault
data-shopYour chat link name (required).—
data-colorButton colour, as a 6-digit hex code like #5b35e8.Near-black
data-positionleft or right corner.right
data-labelButton text, up to 40 characters.“Book now”, in the visitor’s language

Tip

The widget passes along where the visitor came from (the page, and ad tags like UTM or click ids), so Results can show which channel brought the booking.

Limits

  • Web chat can only answer visitors. You can’t message a web-chat visitor later — reminders and comebacks go out on WhatsApp, SMS or Instagram instead.
  • Messages are up to 1,000 characters.
  • To stop abuse, each visitor gets up to 40 assistant replies a day, and there are per-visitor and per-shop speed limits. A visitor who hits the daily limit is asked to contact you directly.

The AI answers web chat on the Front Desk plan and during your free trial. On other plans, visitors get tap-to-book buttons, so they can still book. See Plans & pricing.

Share your booking link

Settings → Share your link (Owner and Manager) gives you your booking link, plus a separate copy for each place you put it, with step-by-step instructions for each:

WhereWhat clients get
Google Business ProfileA Book button on Google Search and Maps.
Instagram bioThe link people tap on your profile, and in Stories with a link sticker.
FacebookA “Book now” button at the top of your Page.
Apple Maps (Business Connect)A Book action on your Apple Maps place card.
WhatsAppYour link for your WhatsApp Business profile, plus a click-to-chat link that opens a chat with your number.

  • A printable QR poster for the mirror, the front desk or the window: clients scan it to book.
  • Each copy carries its own tag, so Results shows which place brought each web chat booking.
