Changelog

What’s new in Tornaly. Newest first.

October 9, 2026

  • Three products, one system: a website, online booking with your client list, and the AI front desk, sharing one calendar, one client list and one price list.
  • Website: 9 templates for barbers, beauty and wellness, portfolios and coaching; a visual editor and editing with AI; services and prices pulled live from booking; a booking button per site (Tornaly booking, your Booksy, Fresha or Square link, or none); a free tornaly.site address and your own domain on paid plans; SEO basics.
  • Booking page: clients book themselves in three taps, in their own language.
  • Plans: Free, Website, Booking and Front Desk, with a price per extra person who takes bookings; texts and AI conversations shown on each plan, and an optional keep going with a monthly limit. A 30-day free trial with no card, ending on Free so your website stays online.
  • Multilingual: the AI front desk, booking page and reminders follow each client’s language.
  • Email reminders for clients, and chair renters paid into their own Stripe.

October 2, 2026 — Wave 1

  • Missed-call text-back: forward unanswered calls to your texting number; callers hear a short message and get a text they can book from. Forwarding codes per phone company, a test call, once per caller per hour, never to hidden numbers, STOP or blocked clients, and a Missed calls card in Results.
  • Voice notes: transcribed so the assistant can answer them, or always passed to a person — your choice.
  • Channels: Get my texting number (straight away, or within 1 business day); WhatsApp shows Meta’s limits for keeping the app before you connect, and sends phone codes with its authentication template; Instagram access renews itself, with warnings and Reconnect when it can’t.
  • Client import: from Square, Booksy, Fresha, Vagaro, GlossGenius, spreadsheets or phone contacts — column matching, a preview, consent from last visits, optional upcoming appointments (reminders off until you check them) and undo.
  • Faster setup: Just me / I have a team, price confirmation, booking-rule presets and the Terms in five steps; channels, import and the rest moved to a self-ticking setup list on Today. The trial starts when your first channel goes live.
  • Share your link: tagged links for Google, Instagram, Facebook, Apple Maps and WhatsApp, and a printable QR poster.
  • Calendar: private calendar feeds for Google, Apple and Outlook; “Add to calendar” in client confirmations; a new layout to try, with focus mode, zoom, colour by person or service, a week time grid and “off today” columns folded away; a collapsible sidebar and keyboard shortcuts (press ?).
  • Today: Now / Next / Later, check-in, a shop timeline, a day wrap-up, and counts that match everywhere. Customers and Comebacks now share one due date and one set of stages, and Comebacks and Results one lift.
  • Team: invites to accept within 7 days, with resend and revoke; Sign out on all devices; text alerts to each person’s own verified mobile.
  • Plans & billing: Solo, Team and Pro (replaced by the plans above on October 9); 7 days of grace after the trial, then booking buttons only until you choose a plan; usage of calendars and texts on Plan & billing.
  • Assistant: a daily AI allowance for the whole business (button mode past it); 91 test conversations in English, Spanish and both.
  • Privacy & safety: draft Privacy Policy, Terms and DPA; “Reply YES” confirmation before texting a number typed in chat; opt-outs in the client’s own words; retention periods; two-step verification for our admins; new businesses reviewed during the pilot.

September 27, 2026

  • Payments: your business is the merchant on Stripe, with Stripe covering losses from refunds and disputes, Stripe’s fees charged to your account, and the full Stripe Dashboard.
  • Privacy: client phone numbers and emails are hidden from providers by default.
  • Assistant: can move or cancel a client’s only appointment without asking which one; says up front whether a change is allowed and why; offers new times in the same reply; “book 3pm” confirms in one step.
  • Assistant: more reliable with service and team names, and a newer OpenAI model with better reasoning.

September 26, 2026

  • Roles & permissions: Owner, Manager, Front desk and Provider, with logins in Team & hours.
  • Notifications: the bell, per-person settings, quiet hours, a daily digest and a weekly summary.
  • Booking rules: exceptions per service, team member and client; booking requests that need approval; late-cancellation and no-show fees noted on appointments; warnings when time off overlaps bookings.
  • Inbox: redesigned, with Take over and Hand back.
  • Clients: a new client page; duplicates with merge preview and 30-day undo; full erasure that still respects opt-outs; permission tracked per phone number.
  • Safety: phone numbers typed in chat never merge records; codes to verify a number; stronger protection on sign-in, payments and the assistant.
  • Results: honest attribution (direct, influenced, not attributed), CSV export and where web chat visitors came from.
  • Comebacks: stages from due soon to lapsed; send now, skip and snooze.
  • Today: a setup checklist for new businesses.
